FAQ

Where can I find unscented soaps and other household items?

Since perpetually breathing fragrances and perfumes is very hard on your health, I always recommend having a fragrance-free household. This means hair care products, soap, lotion, deodorant, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, housecleaning items, etc., all should be unscented.

There are numerous brands that carry an unscented line. Most will advertise on the front label: “fragrance free” or “free and clear of perfumes”. Check the ingredient list to be sure. Your item should not list any of the following: fragrance, perfume, parfum, or essential oils.

An online search will reveal many brands of unscented products. Locally, most of these items can be found at your regular grocery store or health food store. Even large chains such as Wal-Mart typically have some fragrance-free alternatives. If you cannot find an item where you would typically find it in the store, look in the health food section of the store.
